Therefore, we preserve the natural state of each piece of leather, cherishing and respecting the unique texture and grain of every cowhide. Scars from bumps, injuries, or insect bites sustained during the cow's life are not flaws, but rather features we embrace, much like our own individual life journeys. We retain the complete, raw edges of the leather. Using leftover leather scraps, each unique handmade book is meticulously stitched by hand, intended for those who, like us, appreciate documenting life's every detail. We create these singular blank books, hoping that those who understand will imbue them with richer experiences, making them more complete and imbued with warmth, completing a personal chronicle of memories. ◆ Important Notes ◆ ◎ We use unprocessed first-layer cowhide. ◎ The color, texture, and creases of each piece of leather, and even within a single hide, will vary. Free&Non chooses to highlight these natural variations. ◎ Natural scarring and shedding of the fibrous inner lining of genuine leather are normal occurrences and are not processed further. ◎ Slight color transfer to the first and last inner pages due to contact with the leather is normal. ◎ These products are entirely hand-stitched, and the paper is cut sheet by sheet with a craft knife.
