【Wall Art】David Shrigley | it was worthwhile doing this

**【All Posters by David Shrigley】** https://www.pinkoi.com/store/propc?q=David%20Shrigley “Art is essentially an optimistic, hopeful thing.” — David Shrigley Artist: David Shrigley David Shrigley is a globally renowned and critically acclaimed contemporary artist, celebrated for his straightforward yet distinct black humor. His creations reveal an amusing, yet subtly brutal, form of truth. What appears as childlike innocence is, in fact, a precise observation and satire of everyday life. In Shrigley's lexicon, seriousness is not the opposite of humor; the opposite of humor is tragedy. Everyone experiences low points and dark moments, and sometimes, no matter what we do, nothing changes. It might as well be humorous. "A life without a sense of humor is a tragedy, and the ability to laugh is a luxury everyone can afford," Shrigley stated in an interview. His unique black humor, unparalleled wit, and boundless surprises were fully showcased in his major 2012 exhibition "Brain Activity" at the Hayward Gallery in London. The following year, he was nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize, and a major sculptural piece from the exhibition was even acquired by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
