The thought that someone might see my art and wish to step into the depicted scenes fills me with a sense of accomplishment. After focusing on cats for quite some time, the pandemic led me to venture out less and travel even less. Instead, I found myself exploring more of my inner world. With rising inflation, increased operational costs, and a decline in domestic tourism, many physical stores have closed or been sold. It's a shame that wonderful places built on genuine passion are no longer accessible. This inspired me to create a series of works themed around "various cat-themed shops." I've recreated shops from my memories or dreams, adding a touch of imagination, and rebuilding them on paper so that people can wander through them in a different way. This is the travel story of Xin Zai, an orange and white stray cat. The theme of this work is "Shops," featuring "16" illustrations. Rendered in hand-painted watercolor, these depict cat-themed shops ranging from food and beverage to culture and entertainment. The accompanying text is presented in the form of "lyrics," with AI composition assistance.
