A rather special water-resistant paper is used as the inner page. Research Notes (hereinafter referred to as RN) is different from other similar products. Although there are already waterproof notebooks on the market, for us, its plastic-like inner page material and the feeling that it is too smooth to control the pen when writing does not provide us with a very good writing experience. If you use a ball pen, close the notebook and leave it for a while, the handwriting will "transfer" to the opposite page, causing difficulty in reading. Some waterproof paper has improved the material to make it more like paper to write, but this paper cannot be written with water-based ink, so fountain pens, water-based signature pens, etc. cannot be used. The optional pen papers are pencils and atoms. The pen also cannot allow users to enjoy writing pleasure. RN's water-resistant paper has the writing feel of paper. What is the definition of water resistance and waterproofing? We distinguish it this way: waterproof paper will not absorb water even if it encounters water, so it can completely shake the liquid on the paper surface. Water-resistant paper will absorb water, but only the surface will get wet when exposed to water, and the whole sheet will not be soaked, and it will not tear even if it is exposed to water. Even if it is exposed to water, there is no need to worry about damage. Because only the surface layer is wet, the drying time is shortened a lot. Although the paper will curl a little after drying, it can be flattened after a single fold. -----Five characteristics of RN water resistant models----- Anyone who has a certain knowledge of paper knows that the above conditions cannot be met at the same time, because some of these characteristics are even contradictory. It has the same characteristics as high-grade writing paper that it is not easy to faint, but it is very powerful in that it does not show through. We have tested it with the most serious oil-based marker that is transparent, and RN water-resistant paper can also be carried, and no penetration is found. (Figure 8) It can use any writing tool. We even use it to paint watercolors. No paper that claims to be waterproof/water resistant can do such a demonstration. In practical applications, as long as you choose a pen ink with waterproof effect, after writing with a pen, when the ink dries, the handwriting will not be blurred when it meets water (Note: depends on the effect of the waterproof ink).
