Cloth size: 47.5cm x 63cm
Size when pasted on canvas: 45cm x 60cm x 1.5cm
Material: hemp
I tried sewing rectangular pieces of linen fabric together like a pallet. Using the Korean patchwork Bojagi technique, one seam is sewn three times, but it is sewn without facing either side, so two seams on one side and one on the other side are visible. When hung alone in a window, it shines through the light and looks like stained glass. It is made of sturdy fabric so it is very durable.
This time, I tried sewing this single-layered piece onto a canvas. You can hang it on the wall like a painting. Also, if you shine a light from behind, it will be warmly illuminated and look more beautiful. Of course, you can also display it as a piece of cloth.
How to care
If you remove it from the campus and use it, please wash your hands gently with a dry detergent. When it's semi-dry, iron it to remove wrinkles. The temperature of the iron is medium. If you want to attach it to the canvas again, pull it tight around the edges and sew it to the canvas with thread.
If you use it while it is still attached to the canvas, please refrain from washing it.
