Rinse with cold water after use to wash away surface blood stains. 2. Apply hand wash liquid, baking soda, or mild detergent to the stained area and soak in water for over three hours. The water level should be slightly above the pad. (Avoid soaking in hot water, as it can set the stains and make them harder to remove.) 3. Once the blood stains are gone, simply wash with detergent and hang to dry (in the bathroom or a well-ventilated indoor area, occasionally place in sunlight for disinfection). Ensure it is completely dry before storing. 4. Soaking again with baking soda or sodium percarbonate can remove the yellowing and does not affect usability. • For leak-proof models, avoid wringing. You can absorb excess water with a towel before drying to extend its lifespan. Also, avoid using soaps containing glycerin, as residue on the waterproof layer, when exposed to sunlight, may cause it to become brittle and damaged.
