Design/Origin: China **Important Notes** Natural solid wood may feature knots, unique grain patterns, or natural edge variations, which are characteristic of the material. Wood grain patterns and colors are shipped randomly. The brass rods are hand-polished and sealed with glaze to maintain their natural luster over time. We use Osmo Wood Wax Oil. The oil itself is transparent; the color you see is the natural color of the wood. After application, the wood darkens slightly and gains a richer sheen. You can reapply the oil yourself for ongoing care, ensuring this piece can be a lifelong companion. Please dry cutting boards and knives thoroughly before placing them on the tray. Avoid prolonged exposure to humid environments. If the solid wood becomes wet, dry it immediately. While the wood wax oil offers some water resistance, it is not comparable to the waterproofing of paint. The pores of the wood remain open, and prolonged moisture can lead to warping. Additionally, the dark pigments in solid walnut wood may leach out if exposed to water for extended periods.
