Kiriko glass made by independent Kiriko glass artist Saito Hikaru.
We have mastered the secret techniques of hand polishing at an Edo Kiriko workshop that has been in business for over 100 years, and we have adopted this polishing method that respects tradition because it offers many benefits to users, even though it may be less productive or less profitable.
While respecting traditional designs, we strive to create interesting designs that ordinary Edo Kiriko craftsmen would not create.

This is an inexpensive design for beginners to Kiriko glass, featuring the traditional motifs of yari-rai and hemp leaves arranged opposite each other.
We started production with the goal of creating a fairly inexpensive design so that we could offer a wide range of prices to suit user needs.
There are many cheaper models from other workshops that cut corners on polishing to a surprising degree, lowering the price.
I actually had a look at Edo Kiriko from other studios on display in the store, but I was outraged by the lazy work on display, which I could only see as an insult to beginners who don't have the discerning eye.
What I paid attention to when making a cheap model
・We never cut corners just because it's cheap
・Use traditional patterns
・Importantly, transparency is important
This is the part that says:
In particular, since our workshop's polishing techniques are one of our selling points, we believe that we absolutely cannot cut corners.
As the product name suggests, it is cut with the traditional motifs of hemp leaves and arrow railings, so you can enjoy two different patterns.
Also, there is a thick cut from the bottom on the side, so as you can see in the photo, you can still see through the bottom part quite clearly.
I think the thicker cut feels nice to the touch.
It is fairly inexpensive and has an introductory design that allows beginners and novices to easily get a feel for what Kiriko is all about.
Still, I think it's a pretty good design with a good overall balance.
We hope you will consider purchasing these products for yourself, as gifts, for celebrations, to make them look good on Instagram, or to improve your store's brand image.
