This piece is a collaboration between Yangga and Songdi, a young artisan from the Tai Lue community in Laos. It carries blessings of the land and the harmonious spirit of the Tai Lue people. Crafted using a blend of jaboticaba fruit juice, indigo dye, and river mud, with varying proportions to create the dye baths, enhanced by the accumulation of sun and time, it reveals rich layers and hues reminiscent of vintage photographs. The tactile experience of the finished product is truly indescribable. From the pure land of the Tai Lue people in Laos, grows natural cotton. Through natural plant dyeing methods and traditional weaving techniques, and with thoughtful design, it arrives to meet you with a sense of purpose.
