Opening the Memory Box of Time – A Treasure Hunt in Portobello Market Whenever there was a free weekend, whether during a busy semester or a holiday, I would always head to my favorite Portobello antique and flea market for treasures. It's a source of inspiration for many designers. From the intricate carvings on antique furniture, silver and porcelain tableware, to the ornate masks from masquerade balls, delicate lace and embroidered patterns on exquisite clothing, and even early 19th-century candlestick telephones... it's as if you're traveling back in time to a beautiful bygone era, or perhaps a worn leather suitcase could transport you into a fantastical journey of wandering the world.
