These are SDGs-conscious Kintsugi jewelry pieces, upcycled from Arita-yaki porcelain.
Cracked or chipped porcelain, no longer in use, is repurposed and adorned with Kintsugi to be reborn as accessories.
The concept behind these pieces is to allow wearers to feel connected to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, transforming them into modern accessories that bridge the past and future, creating new possibilities.
Elegant porcelain fragments, subtly revealing a leaf pattern, are paired with five strands of freshwater pearls.
The sides of the porcelain pieces are finished with Kintsugi, allowing the gold accents to shimmer from every angle, adding a touch of refined grace.
These pieces serve as a perfect accent for both casual and elegant ensembles.
Length: Porcelain fragment: 15 x 17mm | Overall length: 25mm
Hardware: Surgical stainless steel ear posts (Hardware cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being porcelain, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. ◎
As these are one-of-a-kind, finished pieces, we are unable to accommodate hardware changes or remake them.
The item pictured will be sent; however, if it has already sold on another platform, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the porcelain fragments and natural stones compared to the photo.
*Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery and porcelain using lacquer and gold powder. This piece is crafted using a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi using natural lacquer from the lacquer tree, this process uses adhesive for bonding.
The Kintsugi parts incorporate lacquer (a manufacturer-created coating, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), along with UV resin for reinforcement.
