Brand Story:
The popularity of**Tumble Gemstone**in the United States is a jewelry item invented in the early 1950s by Edward Swoboda of Los Angeles. Mr. Swoboda was a mineral dealer who received a batch of tourmaline and beryl before starting the brand. The quality is lower than he expected. He decided to make some colorful specimens into smooth baroque shapes, hand-polished and set in jewelry.
Mr. Swoboda teamed up with Warren Jones to invent the carbide tumbler, a "Gemstone tumbler" that processes broken Gemstone material into beautiful baroque shaped Gemstone. The Swoboda jewelry line developed into a large collection of brooches, necklaces, earrings and other jewelry items, each adorned with a combination of small tumbled stones, pearls, beads and simply cut leaves. This popularity has allowed Swoboda Jewelry to open stores in Los Angeles, New York and Dallas and sell in many premium department stores. It has the title of "Rolling Baroque".
Swoboda Jewelry Today Swoboda Jewelry Company operated until 1979.
