[Product Description]
This handkerchief is lovingly hand-embroidered, stitch by stitch, by individuals with disabilities.
It is a collaborative creation brought to life through a partnership with Takeno Dyeing Co., Ltd., specialists in tenugui dyeing who have achieved distinct front and back coloring using a technique called "Roll Nasen" (roller printing), and the B-type employment support facility, Bus House.
[About Bus House]
Located in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, Bus House is a workplace where individuals with disabilities engage in "careful, handcrafted work." Their aim is to foster connections with society through employment and to create a sense of belonging for each individual.
*Please note that due to the nature of hand embroidery, there may be individual variations in the stitching. Thank you for your understanding.

[Kasane no Irome: Yuki Arare (Layered Colors: Snow Hail)]
"Yuki Arare" refers to spherical ice particles formed by the adherence of fine ice grains to snowflakes. This color palette is inspired by the phenomenon often observed on crisp, cold mornings and evenings. The pattern itself is motif of hail falling from the sky.
~What is Kasane no Irome?~
In Japan, a land of diverse seasons, both beautiful landscapes and a refined sense of aesthetics have been cultivated. People became keenly attuned to the changing seasons, incorporating the natural hues of the environment into their clothing.
During the Heian period, people delighted in the subtle colors revealed when layers of fabric were combined, leading to the creation of the twelve-layered robes (junihitoe).
"Kasane no Irome" represents this traditional Japanese approach to color.
This "Kasane no Irome" collection, inspired by seasonal words, can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Perfect as a gift or a personal treat, it will add a touch of lighthearted joy to your everyday life.
