Currently residing in Taiwan, they diligently create and design stamps from a charming old apartment in Taipei. Previously holding editorial roles in magazine and book publishing, Chamilgarden now dedicates their time to stamp design. Each season, they release handmade original stamps, with eight published collections featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their authored books include "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." Using rubber erasers as the primary material, each stamp is meticulously carved, stroke by stroke. Chamilgarden's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday discoveries, travel scenery and encounters, and cherished objects and interests (incorporating elements like text, flora, geometry, nature, architecture, etc.). These elements are then deconstructed and reconstructed, layered with intricate lines and shapes, complemented by minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and commonly noted component symbols to form the stamp imagery. They enjoy combining stamps and colors, orchestrating the unique presence, collaboration, and repetition of various stamp sizes. Many graphic designs are also derived from fragments of stamps, extended through printing and combination techniques (e.g., for postcards and washi tape).
