The Glazed Sea is an ancient legend of Baiceng. It is said that a hundred years ago, Baiceng had an inland sea, and gods resided within it. The people of Baiceng lived by the sea, praying to it for protection. This is an ancient legend of Baiceng, the dwelling place of gods, the Glazed Sea. These legends symbolize the imagination of my inner world that year. I imagined a time and space completely detached from reality, where people lived simple lives, in harmony with nature, and reverent of all things and spirits. They spent each day with their kin, facing the coming spring planting or winter storage. ---- Dimensions: Diameter approximately 21cm Height approximately 2.5cm Origin: Taiwan Material: Yellow earthenware Handmade Fired at 850°C for bisque firing and 1230°C for glaze firing with reduction. The glaze is non-toxic and safe for food contact. Notes: Dimensions are measured by hand and may have an error of 0.5cm, but I will strive for accuracy.
