KMZ plant, KRASNOGORSK, 1950s ORIGINAL LEATHER CASE FOR ZORKI-3S RANGEFINDER CAMERA WITH LARGE 3/8" TRIPOD MOUNT APPLICABLE FOR ZORKI-3 ZORKI-3M ZORKI-4 MIR CAMERAS ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) The Zorki-3S was introduced in 1955 at base of Zorki-3M camera. At that time the most common rangefinder cameras in the Soviet Union were Zorki and FED, close copies of Leica II (D). Zorki-3's design was a real breakthrough. It was slightly larger than Zorki, but it had many new features that Zorki/FED lacked - a bright, large, combined RF/VF, a removable back, a dioptric adjustment of the viewfinder, a set of slow speeds and a high quality fast lens - Jupiter-8. The body and the back were cast and rigid. The 39 mm Leica thread mount (LTM) was preserved, so Zorki-3S, as any Zorki rangefinder, is fully compatible with the LTM lenses. Zorki-3S camera was a next step in improvement of Zorki-3M, it had adjustable synchronization with flash units and became more reliable than Zorki-3M camera, but it lost very nice shape of top plate which looked like at Leica IIIc camera at previous kinds of Zorki-3's. The Zorki-3S was produced in small quantities from 1955 to 1956 years and is quite uncommon now. ITEM'S CONDITION: WELL-USABLE Condition is nice cosmetically & fine working, leather and buckles still in well-usable condition. Examine item's photos please. All functions are available.
