[Maruman / Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture]
A single piece of woven cloth, with colors resembling the faint traces of a person's breath and patterns resembling the intricate thoughts of a person's heart, all created through "weaving."
A wool layered stole using the multiple weaving technique. It is an X-shaped fabric woven like a 3D printer. Two pieces of cloth are woven at the same time, along with the "binding" that keeps them from coming off. The overlapping colors created by the yarn-dyed warp and weft threads create a tasteful color called ``oriiro.'' The geometric pattern on the connecting part also serves as an accent to the design. 2 times 2 times 2, and 2 times more on the front and back. Wrap, tie, flip, and twist the stole, which has a total of 8 different looks. Enjoy wearing it in a variety of ways depending on your mood that day.
・Maruman Co., Ltd.
Times change, but some things remain the same. "Weaving" is a primitive fabric made by weaving warp and weft threads, and it has been recorded in Egypt as far back as 5,000 years ago. Banshu-ori, woven by the people of Hyogo and Kita-Harima, has been produced since the end of the Edo period, and in the Showa period it traveled around the world as a high-quality yarn-dyed fabric. Through textiles, Maruman wants to convey the pure moments of elation, joy, surprise, and love when you touch something special during the ordinary Heisei era.
