British Antique Miniature Crested Ware Teapot

Before World War I, particularly in seaside resorts, purchasing ceramics featuring local crests became a fashionable trend. Crested China reflected the era's travel boom and local pride. The miniature teapot, in particular, serves as a microcosm of this history, mirroring the evolution of British cultural development. This particular piece is made of bone china in Britain and bears the mark of the "David Michael" manufacturer. It is a miniature crested teapot from Sheringham, a coastal town in Norfolk, England.
