This is primarily inspired by Demon Slayer, but can also be appreciated as an original design since no character imagery from the work is featured.
While conceptualized as an "impression" washi tape, it leans into semi-original territory, hence the rather whimsical name (?).
Japanese washi paper, 2cm wide, 10m long
Laser silver foil stamping
The choice for laser silver foil was inspired by the "blade" motif. I felt that they wouldn't consider themselves to shine like gold, so the understated brilliance of laser silver seemed more fitting.
As for why the "Shinobu" impression uses spider lilies instead of wisteria, there are a few reasons. Firstly, I wanted to convey an aura of nobility and danger, a sense of magnificent, poignant death. The addition of blue spider lilies, while not directly tied to Shinobu, resonates with everyone. Secondly, wisteria paired with butterflies is a very common motif. I had previously used wisteria in a gold foil tape, and the repetition felt too high. Furthermore, it didn't capture Shinobu's unique essence, which led to the selection of the spider lily.
Do the Zenitsu and Muichiro impressions overlap? Yes, they do. Both feature ginkgo leaves. However, due to their differing impressions, there are subtle distinctions. They were not created using the same set of materials but were redrawn.
