Some brands authorize the production of limited-edition commemorative items that are unique to Japan. You won't even find them in the brand's primary sales channels. For example, Celine, in earlier years, authorized a Japanese textile company to produce various textiles, including home goods, which were incredibly practical. These items were also priced very accessibly, making them perfect for gifting or personal use, and vastly different from the price positioning of the brand's flagship stores! However, Celine's authorization with the Japanese company ended long ago, so you can no longer purchase these even if you visit Japan now. Therefore, these are Japan-exclusive specialty items that have been out of production for many years, much like vintage bags – once they're gone, they're gone forever! ⚐⚑˒˒ This is a Japanese-made acrylic fiber shawl scarf. Although it's a vintage item, its condition is excellent with no significant flaws! There are no snags, pulls, or discoloration issues, nor is there any pilling. The artisan skills of major brands were far more intricate than machinery; every step was meticulously perfected! However, today, most processes are mechanized with manual assembly. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. A direct comparison can be seen by juxtaposing recent brand revivals of classic patterns with genuine vintage versions – the level of detail in the monogram patterns alone reveals a significant difference. If you appreciate monograms, seek out vintage pieces, truly! In terms of style, older pieces tend to be more classic and enduring. Many current designs are actually revivals of older styles. Yet, new releases are priced higher, and their designs are typically enhancements or modifications of older styles. Ultimately, their designs become more complex than their predecessors.
