This big wall clock Automaton Bite 1682 is made of several layers of wood, woodstained and painted high quality acrylic paint and a piece of acrylic mirror. The front elements of the clock are decorated with detailed and intricate engraving. Stainless steel elements and copper coated screws are used in the construction of this clock model.
While making the design of a new clock we were inspired by a very strange steampunk tattoo that we suddenly caught sight of. It contained an idea of time evanescence and at the same moment its tangibility, which you can literally touch.
The hands motion is complemented by the movement of 4 gears each of which is an AA battery operated. The mirror on the background adds some volume to the clock and amplifies the movement effect, transforming the clock into a kinetic installation.
Upon request the clock can be personalized with a text engraving, which will neatly supplement the look of the clock face.
Clock size 36x34 cm / 14x13 in
* AA battery is not included
** the clock hands can slightly differ from those on the pics
*** we remove the moving gears for safe delivery. When you receive them, they are very easy to attach according to the instructions
