Delicate Bracelet with Lapis Lazuli and Sax Blue Beads, Shan Vintage Carnelian, Ancient Quartz, Old Chin Silver and Orissa Brass

A delicate bracelet connecting lapis lazuli & sax blue beads, Shan vintage carnelian, ancient quartz, old Chin silver & Orissa brass, and more. The beads, with their beautiful striped patterns, are carnelian once used by the Shan people (Myanmar). While the exact age is unknown, they are over 50 years old vintage. These small beads, with their beautiful gradation, are captivating. (Vintage Carnelian size: 1cm height, 0.6cm diameter) The round ancient quartz comes from Pakistan, dating back approximately 1500 years to the Roman era. It bears some scratches, but these add to its profound character. The lapis lazuli beads are antique beads from Venice, crafted there and traded to Southeast Asia. They reveal a truly stunning lapis lazuli hue when held up to the light! The sax blue seed beads are old Venetian beads that found their way to the Naga tribe in India. Their color is exquisite, and being translucent, their charm is amplified when illuminated! The amber-colored beads are antique beads known as White Hearts, named for the white core visible within. These are Venetian beads from around the 19th-20th century. The vase-shaped components sandwiching the carnelian are old Chin silver, dating from around the 18th-19th century and passed down through generations. They hail from Burma. These were used by Chin women for necklaces and exhibit a unique wear and endearing marks. Their weight and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though modern pieces can be stylish too...). These beads are truly rare and quite precious! The golden beads and the anchor-like charm next to the ancient agate are old Orissa brass from the Indian state of Orissa, rare and old beads. The charm for the clasp also features an old brass part from India. The clasp and bead loop that gently curve are Karen silver. Each tiny Karen silver bead on the clasp is individually stamped! It's mind-boggling to think each one is done by hand... ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by a hill tribe living in Thailand and Burma. Each piece is handmade, and it's said to have very high purity. Connected with waxed cord, it may feel slightly stiff initially but will become supple with wear.
