This RED TORNADO vest is a faithful reproduction of the FW "AVIATORS" oil-waxed canvas vest, inspired by the civilian version of 1930s military wear. Its distinctive features include a motorcycle jacket-inspired curved placket and signature heavy-duty patch pockets. The vest utilizes FW's replicated heavy-duty ripstop jungle cloth, identical to the FW fabric and denser and thicker than the original US military N1 jungle cloth. With a pre-waxed weight of 440 grams, it reaches over 500 grams after waxing. This substantial 1.5kg vest provides robust protection against the cold, perfect for chilly winters and adventurous spirits. The fabric is treated with an oil-wax finish, offering water and wind resistance. The lining is crafted from a blend of 70% wool and 30% alpaca, featuring a dense weave and rich texture. The wool and alpaca fibers are uniformly distributed, with a deep color and exceptional warmth. The pocket interiors are lined with comfortable fleece. For hardware, it features a TALON vintage zipper and custom-made buttons, meticulously recreating the classic aesthetic. *Oil-waxed items are not recommended for washing. They offer mild water resistance.
