This 5-petal floral "Rinka" plate is made from white Mikage clay, a material that reveals delicate speckled patterns after firing, bringing out the unique warmth of handcrafted pottery. It is finished with a glossy transparent glaze, giving it a smooth and pleasant touch. With a generous size of approximately 24cm, this plate is versatile enough for serving individual meals or sharing dishes. For breakfast: Perfect for serving salad, toast, and a fried egg together. For lunch: Ideal for rice dishes, one-plate lunches, or pasta. For dinner: Great for serving grilled dishes, fried foods, or stir-fries. Everything from kneading the clay to shaping on the electric wheel, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing is done by hand in my small home studio. To prevent scratching your table, the bottom surface is carefully sanded before shipping.
