The Maru-Gata Kyo Koro, or round incense burner, draws inspiration from the palm-sized portable incense burners once exclusively used by emperors and nobility during their travels. Crafted from high-quality ceramic clay, its rounded, elegant form is complemented by the warm, lustrous glaze of celadon. This piece is perfectly suited to grace any corner of your home, office, or commercial space. It can be used with stick incense, cone incense, or coil incense (the lid must be open when using stick incense). Made in Japan. Includes a gift box and an incense stand.
The stick incense shown in the photo is for display purposes only and is not included in the listed price.

I-Si Creative, the sole card specialty store in Taiwan, was recognized by Japan's Kyōto Shōeidō in 2018, becoming their official distributor in Taiwan. This marked the first instance globally of a card specialty store becoming a Shōeidō distributor.
Established in Hōei 2 (1705) in Kyōto, Japan, the renowned incense purveyor, Shōeidō, boasts over three centuries of history, now in its twelfth generation. They continue to craft incense using traditional methods and natural ingredients. Many of Kyōto's famous temples, including Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Tō-ji, and Kiyomizu-dera, use Shōeidō's incense. The incense souvenirs you purchase at these temples are also meticulously made by Shōeidō. All incense products are handcrafted in their Kyōto workshops, adhering to ancient techniques. Furthermore, all of Shōeidō's other products, from incense burners to small incense rests and portable incense pouches, are made in Japan using the finest materials.
Despite Shōeidō's considerable reputation both in Japan and internationally, they maintain only nine directly managed stores across Japan, deliberately avoiding expansion through franchises to ensure the highest quality of products and services. For their overseas locations, they rigorously vet each distributor's business philosophy and approach, strictly limiting the number of official distributors to uphold their century-old reputation.
While incense does not have an expiration date, to ensure enthusiasts in Taiwan can enjoy the freshest incense, I-Si Creative places orders every two months through a small-batch system. These orders are shipped directly from the Kyōto headquarters to Taipei, guaranteeing the optimal quality of the incense. Moreover, thanks to their collaborative relationship and mutual trust with the headquarters, I-Si Creative is one of the few distributors authorized to sell Shōeidō's limited-edition overseas incense and Japan-exclusive products.
Consequently, I-Si Creative has introduced ten different product lines, encompassing nearly eighty varieties of incense, alongside approximately sixty different incense accessories such as incense stands, dishes, and burners. This allows you to select from a wide range of Shōeidō incense products without needing to travel to Kyōto.
