【About design】
This is a pair of wooden salad servers, a 100% handmade product of original design and handmade by Chen Shu at 103store, Guangzhou, China.
The idea of making this wooden stir bar comes from the need of Shu, as a salad amateur, she is always looking for simple, easy to use product without over-design. For maximum no waste, these long-handled stir bars were born from leftovers. It will be lovely helper when you need it.
The wooden stir bar is a washable ware, soaked with food-grade mineral oil stabilized with Vitamin E, beeswax and carnauba wax. For standard maintenance, use sandpaper to wipe wooden part gently to keep it smooth then apply wax to keep it shine.

103store is a diversified co-creative space where three operators regularly host various sorts of handcraft courses, creative activities, food gatherings and interactive exhibitions, in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, China.
>>How many people are involved in 103store, and what role does each person play?
There are totally three people in our shop. Me, Shu, as one of owners of 103store, run and manage 103store as a full-time job. I'm also a woodcraft artisan based in Guangzhou (China), opened 103store with two partners, Maf (owner of 103store, also a freelance graphic designer) and Lin (owner of 103store, although she has her own full-time job), on 09 May 2015. Making wood-wares, sometimes teaching people how to make little wood items are basically Shu's daytime schedule.

IDIOS is an independent design brand created by Shu and Maf, we design and make wooden product in 103store. The word "IDIOS" comes from "idiosyncrasy". Everyone has a few little idiosyncrasies and this wooden utensils also reflects our idiosyncrasies about wood and tableware.
>>How our items are made?
From designing, preparing wooden materials, shaping, polishing to waxing, all making process is accomplished by Shu in 103store. We also design, print and do the package by our own. The idea of making this pair of salad servers comes from the need of Shu, as a salad amateur, she is always looking for simple, easy to use product without over-design. During the making process, she adjusted size of grip for several times to get a balance between having a comfortable grip and a smooth shape.
