Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its approachable price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass is prone to oxidation. Exposure to moisture, sweat, and air can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, certain steps can be taken to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a ziplock bag when not being worn. If the luster appears dulled, a few simple methods can help restore your item's original shine. Please note that while color can be revived, abrasions may result in a matte finish, which can also be quite beautiful in a vintage style. ♦ Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush and a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth, to restore shine. Ensure the item is dried thoroughly afterward. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick return to brightness (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, immerse the brass item for approximately 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its shine (do not use on acid-sensitive natural stones like pearls).
