I also offer carving workshops and proudly call myself a "stamp artisan." Currently based in Taiwan, I live and work in an old apartment in Taipei, pouring my energy into the art of stamp making. Previously, I worked as an editor for publishing houses, creating magazines and books. Now, I'm a full-time stamp designer. Each season, I release new handcrafted creative stamps. My collected works, volumes 1-8, feature over 100 unique stamps. My published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." My primary material is eraser, with each stamp carefully carved stroke by stroke. My stamp designs often blend observations from daily life, landscapes and encounters from my travels, and things I cherish (incorporating elements like text, flowers, geometry, nature, architecture, etc.). I then deconstruct and combine these elements, using intricate layering of lines and planes, simple primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and symbols I jot down in my notes to compose the stamp imagery. I enjoy coordinating stamps and colors, creating unique solo or collaborative arrangements with varying sizes of stamps, and exploring repetition. Many of my graphic designs originate from fragments of my stamps, extended through printing techniques (such as for postcards and washi tape).
