Her passion for these everyday vessels gradually evolved, allowing her to infuse her creations with the subtle sentiments and inspirations drawn from her daily life. This has led to her signature hand-built works, each possessing a distinct personal language. The clamor of daily life seems to melt away during the time spent with clay. Even a simple bowl, through the gentle act of smoothing and shaping, can bring a sense of focus, allowing worries to be unconsciously calmed and soothed. Mieko's work blends the tactile sensation of hand-building with clay, reflecting the emotional imprints left by the processes of kneading, pinching, patting, and pressing. Through the colors of the glaze, she expresses her personal emotional journal.
