|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"Wear jade for three years, and jade nourishes you for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and soothing. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified within jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate — NaAI[Si2O6], often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Generally contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Essentially the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions throughout life, from youth to adulthood and old age, playing crucial physiological roles. It is an indispensable macromineral for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions. It can prevent cardiovascular diseases and help regulate blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. It benefits overweight individuals by helping control cholesterol and blood sugar. Those under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly necessary for these three groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adult bodies contain approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is primarily excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation in the body, associated with the onset of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, relatively high in calcium and magnesium, have lower cardiovascular mortality rates. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels reduce the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also rely on iron for smooth operation.
Medical research reveals that jadeite possesses powerful therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can alleviate common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy that stimulates the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have properties that "clear middle-aged heat, moisten the heart and lungs, nourish hair, support the five organs, calm the spirit, clear blood vessels, and sharpen the senses."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, promoting the balanced coordination of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, comes into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling down: Jadeite's naturally cool properties offer a therapeutic and cooling sensation to the touch. In the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would place jade in her mouth to cool down during the summer, ushering in cooler summer days thereafter. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to alleviate summer heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason, is its perceived ability to offer comfort and solace, providing an inexplicable sense of healing when one feels down or stressed.
