OVAL bag mini vintage kimono fabric B

This is a piece created in collaboration with silver accessory artist bimi. The two of them bought old kimonos in Kyoto, cut up kimonos that were difficult to wear due to stains or fraying, and repurposed them into oval-shaped mini bags to make the most of their beautiful textiles. The silver zipper hardware is by bimi. Its elegant presence blends in with the kimono fabric while still drawing attention. It's a truly one-of-a-kind, special piece. So it looks sharp but feels soft to the touch. You can use it as a makeup pouch for lipstick and cologne, or as a wallet, as a cigarette case, as a small item holder for hand cream, medicine, accessories, and so on. It also looks great with a kimono or yukata.
