A miniature book born from travel Kyoto - Indie Press - Paper

Product Description

This Kyoto edition includes photos taken while traveling around Kyoto using the Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau's one-day subway and bus passes. Kyoto is a famous tourist destination, and I kept hearing that it was crowded with many foreign tourists, so I didn't feel like visiting. However, due to the recent impact of the new coronavirus, the number of foreign tourists has decreased significantly, so I decided to go there for the first time in a while. It would be impossible to get around all of Kyoto in one day, so I tried to come up with my own route to get around in an efficient manner, but it turned out to be difficult to actually get around. Therefore, I am unable to travel to places like Arashiyama and Kurama, so I focus on walking around Kyoto, especially in the center. At the hand binding workshop, the author himself, who has mastered the art of hand binding, carefully produces each book by hand. The main text is tied with thread, making the book easy to open, strong and durable. In addition to enjoying the photos as a small book, you can also use it as a small interior decoration for your room. [Visit period] October 2021 [City visited] Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture [Cover fabric] Kyoto Yuzen washi paper purchased at Rakushikan, a shop inside the Kyoto Museum of Culture. [Size] Length: Approx. 75mm x Width: Approx. 55mm x Width: Approx. 6mm [Number of pages] 24 pages (including 20 pages of photos) The title and text on the cover are printed using an inkjet printer, so please handle with care as they may bleed if exposed to moisture. Also, please be careful not to expose it to direct sunlight for a long time, as this may cause fading. Please note that the pattern on the cover may vary slightly depending on how the fabric is taken. *Please refer to the 5th photo for the degree of difference in pattern. We check the product, but if there are any incorrect or missing pages, we will replace it.
