This is the design of a Hong Kong stamp issued in 1954. It is the first set of stamps issued by the Queen in circulation in Hong Kong (before that, Hong Kong and other Commonwealth countries simultaneously issued the Queen's Coronation commemorative stamps in 1953). This set is generally referred to as the Queen's First Series of Stamps. The design of this stamp is basically the same as the stamps issued by George VI and Queen Victoria.
The stamps were issued in 14 denominations (5c, 10c, 15c, 20c, 25c, 30c, 40c, 50c, 65c, $1, $1.30, $2, $5, $10). The stamps were eventually replaced by a second series of stamps in 1962.
This classic stamp was also redesigned and issued as a commemorative stamp in 1978 to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee.
