010 Quadruple Wood Ikebana Vase

010 Quadruple Wood Ikebana Vase Vase is a collaborative project between PHKA and 000bjects with the initial question on how to display “Ikebana” as an art practice. Inspired by how the artwork is displayed in an art gallery, 010 appropriates the form of a display stand and turns it into an idiosyncratic stand that is specifically made for displaying “the art of ikebana”. In terms of materials, 010’s body is made of 4 types of hardwood that are resistance to moisture and crack. Not only that it has everlasting durability in terms of function, each wood is selected by us to create the best combination of colours and textures that will enrich the overall impression of flowers. Together with the vase, an ikebana kenzan, a flower pin, is located on the top allowing the user to professionally practice the arts of flower arranging with flexible angles and compositions.
