Artist's Introduction: Clay is the softest, most shared memory deep within everyone's heart. It's our closest friend, allowing us to shape it freely as we please. With both parents being ceramic artists, growing up surrounded by the studio felt quite natural, almost as if I was "eating dirt."
Tea culture is a significant aspect of Chinese heritage, but the demanding pace of modern life makes it challenging to experience and savor its beauty. In fact, many classical arts, such as calligraphy and the art of ink, are gradually being forgotten or overlooked by younger generations. Yet, these are precious treasures unique to China. The aesthetic education we receive from childhood might be more inclined towards foreign trends, favoring modern, bold designs and colors. I am particularly drawn to the freedom of ink; despite its monochrome palette, it can express a myriad of emotions through variations in density, depth, and the dynamic flow of lines. By merging Chinese tea culture with the art of ink, I aim to attract young people to explore these traditions in a way they find appealing and beautiful, demonstrating that they can indeed be part of a stylish lifestyle.
