Vintage 1960s varsity letterman cardigan sweater made by Miami Knitting Mills. This classic award sweater style was traditionally given to high school and college athletes as a symbol of team achievement and school pride. The sweater features a striking royal blue body with yellow trim, a large chenille “L” letter patch on the chest, and the original owner’s name “G. Ball” embroidered on the front, giving the piece authentic character and history.
Made from 100% Orlon acrylic, a durable knit material commonly used in mid-century varsity sweaters. The timeless collegiate design makes it a great piece for collectors of vintage Americana, Ivy League style, or classic varsity fashion.
Condition: Good vintage condition with normal signs of age and wear. The right pocket seam has a small stitching separation as shown in the photos. This is a minor seam issue and could be easily repaired if desired. No major holes or structural damage observed.
