The most beautiful Goddess, Dakini Ram.
This painting depicts the past and present lives of Goddess Dakini Ram.
Dakini Ram is a female wealth deity within the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon, revered as a worldly protector deity primarily enshrined at the Dakini Temple in Lhasa.
There are two main interpretations of her origin in belief and culture:
One view holds that Dakini Ram is a native protector deity of the Tibetan regions.
Another suggests she is an incarnation of Ragini Nima Sungnu.
In her past life, she was a beloved concubine of the Emperor, possessing both beauty and talent. Due to jealousy, she was murdered, and her spirit lingered, unwilling to depart until guided by a high monk to embrace Buddhism. Subsequently, she followed the monk to cultivate her practice and, on the path to Sera Monastery, built the present-day Dakini Temple to receive offerings from people.
Many businesspeople traveling to Lhasa make pilgrimages to the Dakini Temple, experiencing improved business fortunes. To this day, the Dakini Temple is recognized as Lhasa's most efficacious temple dedicated to the wealth deity, and Dakini Ram has become a renowned female wealth goddess.
