A lot of pansies are planted in Huissen, Netherland where Xiaoling Huang lives. In the spring of 2014, pansies blossomed too early there. Feeling it a shame to abandon the blossoming flowers, she collected and sent them to her studio, and thus started her petals arts endeavors.
