**1. Theme: "Island Habitat"**
In order to promote Taiwan's native plants, the popular Forestry and Conservation Administration calendar will be themed "Island Habitat" in 2025. It will select 65 woody plants from coastal, urban and rural areas, low mountains, and medium and high altitudes, and incorporate familiar elements such as nectar sources, horticultural landscapes, and ethnic plants. For the first time, the concept of print design will be used to transform these native plants into plant landscape patterns close to life. From now until 24:00 on September 29, the "Island Habitat" monthly calendar and desk calendar are available for online pre-order for a limited time and in unlimited quantities.
The 2025 "Island Native Habitat" calendar re-deconstructs the delicate posture of native plants through the concept of pattern design, connects the perception of nature and life, transforms the flowers, fruits or leaves of plants into pattern textures, and presents a plant landscape canvas limited to Taiwan. The characteristics of the animal and plant illustrations in the calendar have been reviewed by experts and presented in a simple and elegant visual style. In addition, the monthly themed short poems integrate the beauty of nature with poetic expression, just like there is painting in poetry and poetry in painting. From January to June, bright colors are used to present the joy of the New Year and the light atmosphere of spring and summer, while from July to December, earth tones are used to embellish the seasonal changes of autumn and winter, showing the restrained beauty after the midsummer.
