Daphne H.C. Shen is an artist based in the UK, and her greatest joy in life is creating. Even amidst a busy work schedule, she remains dedicated to her passion for art and continues to create. Daphne has long struggled with insomnia, and she finds that through her art, she can express the myriad thoughts swirling in her mind. In her creative process, she consistently challenges herself, pushing the boundaries of each piece. This approach imbues her work with a distinct character that evolves over time, yet each style powerfully conveys the collisions, conflicts, and contradictions within her own personality. She finds it difficult to express herself directly, and thus hopes her artworks can serve as a visual representation of her inner state. <No.13 Thought Delivery> is one of the pieces exhibited at Daphne H.C. Shen's solo exhibition "Petri Dish" at the Edge Gallery in Taipei in 2017. This series stems from Daphne's ongoing imaginative exploration of the nameless creatures residing within her mind.
