Through meticulous control of the thickness of each glaze layer and firing at 1260°C, it undergoes a 20-hour intense fire. This process allows the glaze to shrink and flow within the kiln, generating the intricate patterns and fluidity reminiscent of a peacock's tail feathers. The difficulty in firing lies in precisely controlling the thickness of each glaze layer and adjusting the temperature curve. If applied too thinly or fired at too low a temperature, the characteristic peacock feather pattern will not emerge. Conversely, if applied too thickly or fired at too high a temperature, the glaze will flow onto the kiln shelf, damaging both the teacup and the shelf. Variations in ambient temperature also influence the outcome. Numerous factors contribute to its unique appearance, and even after years of study, achieving precise control over its variations remains elusive. However, it is precisely this inherent unpredictability that imbues each finished piece with such precious value. It is hoped that this creation will inspire all to embrace hope when facing challenges, to persevere with unyielding effort, and that one day, like a peacock, they too will unfurl magnificent feathers, illuminating their lives with splendor!
