Shells can also vary in size, and occasionally corner defects can occur due to natural causes. NOTE: If overheated, the abalone shell will heat up and crack, burning for up to 1 minute. Provide a heat-resistant surface on which to place the abalone shells. Heat resistant gloves are recommended. Do not breathe fumes. Use only in well-ventilated spaces. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Keep away from combustible materials. Avoid touching clothing. Do not use during pregnancy. Keep dry. Make sure nothing is burning or smoldering when you leave.
