Cashmere, or "goat down," is primarily sourced from goats inhabiting the high altitudes of the Himalayas, around 15,000 feet. To withstand the cold, they grow a layer of soft "downy hair" in late autumn for added warmth. This down is among the finest animal fibers, renowned not only for its superior insulation but also for its lightweight feel, luster, and elasticity, earning it the nickname "diamond fiber."
The key differences between Cashmere and regular wool are:
1. Cashmere feels lightweight and does not cause any prickly sensations.
2. Due to its irregular curl and fine texture, Cashmere creates air pockets when made into a scarf. This not only prevents the intrusion of cold air but also retains body heat, providing excellent warmth.
3. Its excellent elasticity ensures it resists wrinkling and quickly resumes its beautiful shape after being folded.
Suitable for: All seasons, can be worn as a shawl or scarf, for air-conditioned rooms, international travel (even to snowy regions).
Hand-dyeing may result in slight imperfections; please consider carefully before purchasing.
Precautions:
1. Due to its delicate nature, dry cleaning is recommended. Iron at a low temperature with a pressing cloth; do not bleach or iron at high temperatures.
2. Avoid wearing with other metal jewelry or accessories to prevent snagging.
3. The fine fibers of cashmere can occasionally snag, which is a normal phenomenon for 100% Cashmere. If snagging occurs, do not cut the fiber; gently pull it straight in the direction of the weave with your hand.
4. If pilling occurs, gently brush it away with your hand; do not use a brush.
5. Product photos may have color variations. While handwoven patterns are intricate, they may not be perfectly uniform. The scarf edges may appear fuzzy.
6. Made in Nepal without fixing agents; slight color bleeding or fading is normal.
