Fine-grained white clay with a rustic charm.
Molded into a deep, round bowl shape, it is finished with a glossy white glaze and decorated with patterns in various blue and green glazes.
The firing process allowed the glazes to blend, resulting in a delicate and ethereal color display.
This is a piece with depth, offering a different visual experience depending on the viewing angle.
Its size makes it versatile, usable as both a serving bowl and a rice bowl.
The rim curves outward, creating a subtle lip that makes it easy to grip and carry.
Serve a hearty rice bowl for lunch, or pour in a clear broth for soba or udon noodles.
It's also perfect for dishes like nikujaga (meat and potato stew) or chikuzenni (simmered chicken and vegetables), or even stews and pot-au-feu.
We hope you enjoy using it with a variety of your favorite dishes.
All stages of production—from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing—are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel.
The plump, rounded form, soft texture, and satisfying weight convey the authentic feel of pottery.
While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, offering the charm that comes from handmade craftsmanship.
The item you receive will be the exact piece shown in the product images.
The base of the bowl has been sanded to minimize any potential scratching of your table surfaces.
I continuously explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in various colors and shapes.
Each piece is unique, similar yet distinct, as exact replication is impossible.
It would bring me great joy if you could find a piece that speaks to you.
I hope you can incorporate the warm atmosphere woven by the clay and glazes into your daily life as a touch of color.

*Notes on Purchase and Use*
- Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb liquids, potentially leading to staining within the crazing or seepage of moisture.
To address this, we apply a water-blocking treatment to all our tableware before shipping, eliminating the need for a preliminary soaking (mezome).
This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
If you prefer not to have the water-blocking treatment applied, please inform us at the time of purchase.
- Cutlery shown in the product images is not included.
- We strive to capture product images that are as true to the actual item as possible through photography and editing. However, please be aware that colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
- As this item is also sold on other platforms, in the rare event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the purchase process first. We appreciate your understanding.
- While the item can be used in a microwave (for gentle warming) and dishwasher, the vibrations from microwaves and the high-pressure spray of hot water may accelerate its degradation. We kindly request that you use these appliances sparingly.
- Please refrain from using this item in an oven or over an open flame.
- After use, to prevent stains and mold, please wash thoroughly and ensure the item is completely dry before storing it in your cupboard or elsewhere.
