Blood-drop Iolite Pendant, crafted from 999 and 925 sterling silver. Overall dimensions (L x W): 46x42mm. This blood-drop iolite captured my heart at first sight. I’ve previously encountered similar gemstones with abundant inclusions and sparkling flakes. However, those often had a stronger metallic silver hue due to their body color and the distribution of inclusions. This particular loose stone, when light shines through, reveals a distinctly vibrant purple. Thus, under illumination, its brilliant inclusions are complemented by a deep purple undertone. Rather than a cosmic starry sky, it reminds me of a koi pond in a garden, illuminated at night, with a few floating lanterns reflecting the swaying tree shadows along the bank. In daylight, the colorful koi seem to rest, yet the occasional ripple of water catches the light, adding a shimmer of scales and enhancing the colors. This deep, reflective water surface becomes a silent, sparkling night, accompanied by flowing currents and the shadows of fish. ❖ Product photos are mostly taken in natural daylight.
