**Loquat Ash Small Square Plate**
**What is Ash Glaze?**
Ash glaze, the earliest high-temperature glaze in the Eastern world, is derived from plant ashes. The final effect of ash glaze is determined by various factors such as differences in plant composition across regions, the choice of plants, soil composition, the method of firing the ash, and the water-to-ash ratio. Consequently, each ash-glazed ceramic piece exhibits a unique and captivating array of colors.
**Our Plant Ash Glaze**
Our natural ash glaze is formulated using ashes from local Taichung plants. The intricate production process for each batch yields limited quantities. Furthermore, variations in the chosen plant components make the recipe irreproducible, bestowing each piece with a captivating, ever-changing natural color and texture.
The process of creating our local ash glaze is illustrated in the diagram below:

Gentle Reminders
* As each piece is handmade, minor imperfections or uneven glaze application are normal and contribute to the uniqueness and beauty of the ware. Please consider carefully before purchasing if you seek absolute perfection.
* Crazing (cracks) on the ceramic surface is a natural phenomenon resulting from the differential shrinkage of clay and glaze, and not a product defect or crack.
* Dimensions are measured by hand and may have slight variations (±0.3 cm).
* All wares are fired at high temperatures and are safe for use.
* The items are photographed in kind. Due to variations in lighting and angles during photography, slight color differences may occur.
Precautions
◎ Please avoid using hard cleaning tools such as metal brushes to prevent scratching the glaze and dulling the surface luster.
◎ Avoid prolonged soaking in dirty water to prevent dirt accumulation in the crackle lines.
