Introducing SDGs jewelry featuring Kintsugi, an upcycled creation from Arita ware.
We breathe new life into broken or discarded ceramics, mending them with Kintsugi and reimagining them as exquisite accessories.
Our concept is to foster a connection with nature and Japan's enduring traditions, creating modern pieces that resonate with the present and future, unlocking new possibilities.
Delicate pink floral patterns peeking through the elegant porcelain fragments are paired with freshwater pearls.
They sway beautifully with every movement, exuding a refined charm.
The sides of the porcelain shards are adorned with Kintsugi, allowing the gleam of gold to catch the eye from every angle, adding a touch of sophistication.
These pieces are perfect as a subtle accent to elevate both casual and elegant outfits.
Length: Porcelain fragment: 12 x 16mm, Total length: 30mm
Hardware: Surgical stainless steel earrings (hardware cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being porcelain, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, it makes for an ideal gift.
Consider gifting this special item to someone dear to you.
*The item pictured will be sent. However, if it has already been sold on another platform, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the porcelain fragments and natural stones compared to the photos.
*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair method that uses lacquer and gold powder to mend broken or chipped ceramics. This work utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for structural bonding. The Kintsugi elements themselves are created using lacquer (a manufacturer-produced coating, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
