If you find it too rigid, soak it in water for at least 30 minutes, then air dry. This will soften the cover. Our paper cloth products are washable. Many people assume that washable paper must be treated with a coating. However, paper cloth's raw material comes from tree bark. Traditional paper turns bark into pulp, while paper cloth retains the long fibers from the bark. These long fibers are spun into yarn, woven into fabric, and then cut and sewn to create our products. Because of these retained long fibers, paper cloth is more resilient than traditional paper, offering benefits such as water resistance, breathability, quick drying, and resistance to mold. The raw materials for paper cloth are sourced from FSC-certified managed forests. It is also biodegradable and recyclable, and we hope more people will choose environmentally friendly materials like paper cloth.
