Prosperity and Good Fortune
The countryside of Yilan is reminiscent of the idyllic scenes described in "The Peach Blossom Spring," with fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees, and bamboo groves, interconnected by paths where the sounds of chickens and dogs can be heard. Dogs of various appearances often guarded the entrances of farmhouses, symbolizing safety and protection, and carrying auspicious meanings of good fortune. The "woof woof" of dogs is a common sound in the countryside, and "wāng wāng" sounds phonetically similar to "wàng" (prosperity). Dogs are also associated with bringing wealth and children, symbolizing thriving prosperity.
During traditional Lunar New Year celebrations, every household hangs red lanterns to create an atmosphere of joy and reunion. Spring Festival lanterns carry the auspicious meaning of "hong yun dang tou" (good fortune arriving).
The plum blossom blooms before all other flowers, heralding spring to the world. It is revered as an auspicious symbol of announcing the arrival of spring. A common saying goes, "A branch of plum blossom signifies the New Year." As plum blossoms unfurl, they add to the festive spirit of the approaching Lunar New Year. The five petals of the plum blossom also symbolize the "Five Blessings": longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and a good end.

【Craftsmanship】
Hand-thrown. Hand-sprayed glaze. Blue and white decal.
Sanshing Four Seasons Blue and White pieces are 100% "handmade," allowing every subtle touch and movement to leave its mark during the shaping process. This ensures that each vessel is unique, unlike the uniformity of industrially produced ceramics, and constantly evolving through each stage. From taking the clay, throwing it on the wheel, to trimming the base, the semi-finished piece is carefully lifted with fingers onto a wooden rack to air dry. After bisque firing and trimming, glaze is applied, and the blue and white decal is fired. Each step leaves its trace, ultimately imbuing every vessel with a unique character that warms from your hand to your heart.
★ This is a purely handmade product. As it is not made from a mold, it embraces a freehand feel and natural variations.
