Vintage Austrian Minerva M16 mechanical sewing machine.
Minerva started their sewing machine production in Vienna in 1881. It became a member of the Dürkopp Adler Group in 1997.
This machine has serial number 469743, dating its production to the year 1935. A small copper plate at the front shows Minerva, the goddess of handicrafts, the professions, the arts. With our limited knowledge of sewing, we got this machine to stitch a piece of cloth. This does not mean we claim it be fully functioning and durable as it is a vintage item. We therefore recommend it is used for decorative purposes only and not its originally intended purpose.
The metal body is in fair condition with signs of usage, such as surface marks and wear on the decals, and aging, such as oxidation. The wooden base also show signs of usage. The case is in fair condition with surface marks due to usage and oxidation on the metal handle due to aging.
The photographs are a part of the description.
